        • What Are the Benefits?Everyone shares in the benefits of rain gardens: Add beauty and variety to your yard, improvement to the property Reduce flooding and erosion in your property and neighborhood Provide habitat and food for birds and pollinators Recharge local groundwater aquifers Reduce lawn maintenance – less mowing, watering, and use of chemicals Filter pollutants before they reach ditches and eventually, streams and larger bodies of water Reduce strain on stormwater systems by intercepting runoff that would otherwise go directly into drains Connect you to your community
