Blue-Eyed Grass

Sisyrinchium idahoense

Native Pollinator

Bluish-purple flowers with a yellow center provide good forage for bees when they bloom from mid-spring to mid-summer. This small member of the iris family has grass-like leaves that die back in the winter. It grows best in seasonally damp areas and makes a nice addition to rain gardens or other wet areas.
