Hedgerows are a long landscape feature with an even longer history. Originally planted in the Bronze Age as barriers, they have great value today as wildlife corridors, pollinator habitat, privacy screening and windscreens.
If you would like to grow your own hedgerow using plants from our 2021 Native Plant Sale, check out these designs to get started. Using plants available from our upcoming sale, the designs are tailored for average sun and soil conditions and come in small, medium and large sizes to fit your property. You can follow the designs exactly or use them as a starting point. Most importantly, choose native plants that you like and that will grow well in your conditions.
Check out these links for more information about the history of hedgerows and how to plant one.
