Pierce CD and Kaukiki Farm teamed up and were awarded funding from the WA State Conservation Commission Sustainable Farms and Fields: Climate-Smart Livestock program to purchase and demonstrate the use of a Ranchworx SB pull type aerator with a seed box attachment. This system utilizes blades to fracture the soil to improve and overcome compaction while causing minimal soil surface disturbance. Once the demonstration project is complete, producers will be able to hire Kaukiki Farm to aerate and seed their soil with the equipment. Come learn if employing this equipment on your own property can be useful in meeting your management goals.
